???
- you have no clue of my views
I have what you've written. Do your words not reveal your views?
and to conclude that all who disagree with you are leftists shows a certain level of arrogance and/or ignorance.
Not all who disagree with me are leftists. Only the leftists (ie. those who would elevate government above individuals, or groups above individuals).
I am probably more fiscally responsible than you - but maybe not.
You're not, if you're proposing to force me into your "green" economy, relieve me of my fossil-fuel powered vehicles, and tax my carbon use. Besides, we're not talking about fiscal responsibility; we're talking about a leftist view of global warming.
Point - you are very loose with your labels.
Loose, but accurate.
5-4 votes show that the clear meaning of the Constitution isn't as clear as you claim or simply that many aren't as literate as you.
Or, it shows that some justices have an agenda. Why do you ignore the most obvious answer?
You also dodge the clear conclusion that our laws would not allow you to possess every weapon our military has.
We were talking about the Second Amendment. The Second Amendment offers no prohibition on the size, style, color, or capability of the "arms" it mentions. Once McDonald is decided, the 14th Amendment will hold sway, and many of the existing prohibitions will fall to the wayside.
Please read the Constitution. Just once. It won't take that long.
Our maybe you feel all should have the weapons of the warlords in Somalia and Iraq, etc.
Mostly junk, but I'd take a decent AK and a few grenade launchers. I think Americans can afford better weapons, though, and I see no Constitutional authority for Congress to prohibit "arms" of any type. Read the Second Amendment, and tell me which part limits the type of arms that are protected.
Remember where this discussion came from - your confidence that most Federal Agencies are Unconstitutional -
Read the Ninth and Tenth Amendments, and tell me what
you think they say.
Looks like your solution to the nations issues is that all those who think like you can vote. Doesn't sound constitutional to me.
I would gladly support a system that allowed only those with a vested interest in the nation to vote. For instance, those who have served. There are those who have discovered that they can vote themselves a paycheck, and, for them, politics has become a lottery game. Democracy is among the worst of forms of government, when you let human beings participate.
Our system of Law and of Government has thus far shown no validity for your conclusion. Let's shut down the FCC and let each state regulate the frequencies in their air space. What do you think?
Show me where the Constitution authorizes the FCC, and
does not relegate that power to the States, respectively, or to the people. Go ahead. Show me.
Your snide and clever comments do not impress me - seems we could disagree in a civil way.
You'd think so, but it gets tedious.
