950 John Deere
I have a 950 John Deere tractor and today after bush hogging for less than an hour in 90 degree weather it overheated. The tractor isn't hurt but I am of the mind the thermostat is either stuck or non existent. Where is the thermostat located? I don't know what year the tractor is but do know there is 800 hours on the tractor. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I’m guessing your radiator is plugged up. I sold a 950 that ran perfect. I had gone thru the tractor including the coolant system and radiator. The next day the buyer called and said the tractor got hit after a couple hours of mowing. I asked him how tall of stuff he was mowing and he said 4 or 5 feet. He plugged up the screen. Happens fast. The coolant system is adequate of working properly.
