I had a cousin who was in the A-10 unit at Myrtle Beach. She shipped out with the unit for Desert Storm. Hard to believe that was so many years ago now. She is retired now and she never gave me a dummy round!
One day I was driving up the FLA Turnpike on the way to Orlando when a flight of A-10's were "attacking" a cypress head. They would make a pass, execute a very tight turn and climb, and then repeat. I would hate to be at wrong end an A-10 nose.I think the A-10 is one of the most unique and great planes ever made. There was something on TV the other day showing the digital cockpit upgrades the plane finally received. The A-10 is going to be flying for a few more decades at least.
