9 inch bucket for BX-24

Looking for a 9" bucket....anyone want to sell or know where to get? I understand they are not available anymore.

Honestly, I have no idea where to get other sizes, but one person you might want to try to turn to on TBN - bxpanded. He seems to design good stuff and looks like a good welder. Perhaps you could ask him. Another idea would ask brotek to design one for you. I beleive they build stuff with cad drawings and they designed the ripper for the BX24. Using the design from ripper , it shouldnt be hard to use that to transfer drawing and make a new bucket.

Also if I recall correctly, there was a person (cant rememeber who) bought a bigger, used bucket for his backhoe and he welded on new ears to fit his backhoe. If you can weld, maybe this would be an option for you.

I've seen aftermarket buckets over the net. Possibly Northern tool? Not sure on the compatability. Kioti is a spin off of Kubota any chance they would have something that would work?

They were once produced.....when I bought mine I had the option. Now I can't find the smaller one anywhere.

It never fails I just sold mine on ebay that I had left over when i sold the bx24 it sold for about $200. I think if you contact your dealer you can still order one? if not several people on ebay are selling buckets or just weld one up.

You could get 10 12 & 16 inch BH buckets.
Mine had the 10 incher.
Just stuck with it and it's worked out fine.

Depending on your skills, you or someone you know could take a standard bucket and cut it down or add to it in an hour or two without too much trouble if you can find one the right price. If anyone is interested, I will go in on it if someone wants to share the cost of having some of the mounting plates laser or plasma cut. There are several projects I would like to do with the BH using different removable mounts

Mine is the same as LBROWNS.I chose the narrow one because i have real rocky ground.Its my opinion they get around and under the rocks and roots better.That being said if i had smaller rocks and less stumps etc id have the largest one for faster soil removal.

A 16'' would be nice for digging footers.

One thing I would have like to seen with the 9" bucket if they would have made it a little deeper.

The 9 inch bucket is a problem when digging in sticky clay. I have sometimes had to use a spade to get that c**p out.

I have the 12 inch and i can attest to using the shovel to get the clay to come out. I was diggin out the footers for my expanded garage 40 inches down and half way down i ran into water and clay. It was a messy goop plugging up the bucket. Sometimes shaking the boom/bucket would dislodge it but a major portion would still be in the bucket wasting the amount I could pick up with the next scoop. going smaller would only aggravate me.

I understand....I have dry sandy soil here in New Mexico.
