870 Stuck Clutch

   / 870 Stuck Clutch #11
If it is still stuck, and you can get it to move, get a chain hooked to a a big heavy pickup truck with a competent driver in it, and start towing it. As you start loading the tractor with the weight of the pickup truck behind you, mash the clutch and leave it down. Then have the person driving the pickup slowly ease down on the brakes (remember to still have clutch pedal down). Increase the load by using the brakes in the truck, just enough to keep traction on the tractor but loading it down. By the way, make sure the chain is rated really high and that the point on the tractor that you hook to is at or below the center line of the rear axles. (Drawbar usually works). Don't want you pulling wheelie's with it!
I had a HG crawler a while back and it seemed like the clutch would stick if I left it out over night!
This worked fine to break it loose.
