My '87 430 lost power through the mowing season last year. It became weaker and harder to start. Now as I prepare for the upcoming mowing season, It won't start at all. New fuel filter and fuel pump flowing fuel to the injector pump. I am thinking clogged/bad injectors or bad injector pump (most likely). What are your thoughts? I have no way test nozzles or inj. pump.

Thanks

I hope not, but it could also be due to a lack of compression.

You may be to related to the compression if you note how fast it is turning over now compared to before.:)

It's assumed all the normal things like fluid levels, air supply, battery cables and terminals, starter and ? have been checked.

Ouch! You guys are killing me. I knew it could be lack of compression but I guess I didnt want to consider that. I cant really tell if it cranks faster. It seems normal as best I can judge. All the obvious things have been checked. I removed the air filter entirely, replaced the fuel filter, opened the fuel line where it goes into the injector pump to verify no air in the line. Fuel flowed very freely when I opened the bleed screw. I suppose I will have to take it to the dealer to get the compression/inj/pump checked. :(
