863 Bobcat Idling wipe open

I have an 863 bobcat. When I start it up it idles wide open...even more than if the throttle were all the way open. I've heard everything from air intake, bad governor or stuck, bad throttle linkage etc. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Welcome from Oklahoma. Not familiar with your machine, but yes, all those can cause that condition. The process of elimination is what you need to do. Check one thing, eliminate it as causing the problem, then go to the next item, and so on until you come to the cause of the problem.

The couple of time I have run inot that this on the Duetz engine, it was the governor assembly in the timing case blew apart.
