I picked up a 850 4wd with a model 80 loader Friday and there are a couple of brackets I can't identify.

Model 80 loader mounted and works fine without using these brackets? or is there a mystery on how to mount the loader?

They don't look heavy enough to have anything to do with the loader. Were they mounted to the tractor when you got it?

They were just as you see not attached. the loader was attached and all brackets correct going by the manual for the loader. The way they are made the belly mower sounds correct. They look to bolt onto the loader rear bracket Thanks for all the responses.

Nice find. Those 80 loaders seem hard to come by. I eventually found a 950 with a 75 loader and was thrilled to get that.

Those brackets bolt just to the inside of the loader mast uprights, they are the rearmost mounting bracket for the 8A backhoe mounting frame

The tractor has a spun bearing but very repairable. It has power steering and a Curtis cab. This is my third 850. I now have 2 4wd's and one 2wd. I am going to do the repair soon.

The previous owner had owned the tractor since it had 150hrs. He didn't say anything about a backhoe. I have a LW6 3pt backhoe that I use on my Yanmar YM336D. The brackets might be of benefit if I use the hoe on th 850.
