How hard is it to change the tach cable on a 755?

I just changed the tach cable on my 855 and found that removing the outside locking bolt and rotating the alternator provided better access to the engine end of the cable.

With a little difficulty. I was able, with hood up and a side pedestal panel off, to use small needle nose vise grips to break it loose. I don't think it has to be too tight on reassembly. Anyway, mine is doing fine
