I'm trying to find an aftermarket air filter for my 7260. Wix says #46387, but it's much too small. I understand that there is an early and later filter depending on tractor serial number, (mine is early). Any ideas?

Good news, I followed a lead on this board and the Kubota/Wix 46496 works perfect. Just drill out the hole on the metal end to match the wing bolt on the Cub and install the rubber gasket on the filter housing. $53 at the local auto parts, I'm sure better deals are out there. Goodby Mitsubishi air filter prices. I know the same filter will work on other 7000 series Cubs.

$53 for an air filter?!? I'd be shop-vac-ing that one clean 'till it couldn't be shop vac'd anymore.

The reason he was looking for aftermarket is that Cub Cadet gets around $100 for theirs.

I hope that fits on my 7532. Looks close enough to work. Thanks, you saved me some money!!!

I saw one internet dealer had his priced at $110+shipping. If your Cub uses a MA-10310511200 (a lot do), then the Kubota filter will work. Next time I'm going to call around to NAPA, etc., to cross over the WIX 46496 to their house brands. I was just happy this time around not to pay Cub prices. And yes JTKub, I blew the old filter out many times and milked it along as long as I could because of the ridiculous prices.

BTW: Pull the air vane off of your old filter and simply slide it in place on the WIX 46496.

I believe my 5252 and the 3000 series tractors use the same deck wheels. Mine are delaminating (fronts) after three seasons. Cub wants $66 each + shipping. I found them on the web for $34. I believe that same wheel is used on a number of non Cub decks also.

They arrived today, I can see why they are pricey, they are roller bearing'd on the shaft and heavy. Sure hope they fit!

But $66 to $34, and somebody is still making money, even at $34!
