6500 Skid Plate

Trying to protect underside of tractor. Back half was pretty easy to do. Having trouble figuring out the very front 25%. Want to cover all, but the front corners just hang out in space, and seem like they will be cause to bang up against things.
Anyone have a good idea, or pic. of what you have done? I would appreciate the ideas and help. Al

protect it from what??? the lower front end of those tractors could probably withstand a tank buster bomb already.

I agree that the underside of these tractors are somewhat protected, but there are still fittings, hoses, filters etc. that could be damaged. Also a branch or ? certainly could get jammed up into the engine area. In the woods, as in most things, "If it can happen, it will", is always in play. Al

maybe a 6500 is different, i have a 4500 and the lower front end of it is a solid cast iron tub so nothing is going through there. there are a couple lines down low just fwd of the flight deck but they are in stainless steel flex tubes.
