Oil & Fuel 650 fuel filter casing cracked

Screwed up by putting the squeeze on the filter casing to check filter and cracked it (dang it!). Probably 30 yrs or so old model with the paper filter type inside the casing. Any suggestions where I find one of those? I rarely have much luck with trying to seal this type crack, but willing to try anything. This tractor has been a reliable workhorse. THanks!!! Jay

I'm not familiar with your particular filter- but if it's the paper filter in the plastic housing that is inline with a fuel line, you could probably find a close match at an auto parts store. If necesary you could bypss it for an inline one.

I assume you are talking about the plastic bowl? If so, it is available from John Deere. Part number CH15552. If you need the whole thing, aluminum housing and all, it is also available, part number CH15551. The filter element is CH15553 and the oring on the bowl is CH10060.

Like jd110 said it should be available from the dealer. So far I have had no problem getting parts for my 650. Rarely need anything but consumables though. If you dont have luck there try one of the Yanmar guys like Hoye or Fredricks.
