A friend had a 6420 (2004/2005 model) with ivt. A solinoid failed , and as they are internal in the 20 series that was $6000 to replace a $200 part. 12 months later same problem, and $6000 bill.
Has anyone run into this problem?
There are 7 solinoids in the transmission. Is one best to replace the lot? Do these solinoids have a tendency to fail after 10 years?
