62D Deck on a 2305

I have a 2305 with the 54" deck. A buddy of mine has a 2520 with the 62D drive-over deck. In just looking at it, I was thinking it would fit on my 2305. He's looking to sell the deck because he's gone to mowing with a zero-turn mower. Anyone else know if this would work?

The only way to know if it fits for sure is to try it. That should be easy for you since your friend has the deck.
My guess is the the front hangers & pto shafts are different, but you may be able to swap those from your 54" deck. The gear boxes could also be in a different locations.

Your 2305 is a sub compact and the 2520 is not, (it is a compact which is a larger frame size).
Your best hope is, when you try it, that all the brackets used for the 62D on the 2520 will bolt up to your 2305. Some measuring may give this info and worth a shot.
As the frames are different, I doubt it would work.

I think the pto on the tractors are different. One is to the right of the center of the tractor and the other is to the left of center.
