62C deck with mulching kit

Has anyone used the 62C deck with the mulching kit. I have a 2210 with the 62C deck. Last year I bought a set of Gator blades for it. I was not impressed at all. I ended up raking my leaves and then grinding them with my Troy Built Chipper shredder. Which is the way I have been doing it for years. I'm getting older and not enjoying raking leaves anymore. I'm looking for info from anyone that has used the mulching kit with there mower on leaves. It getting expansive buying and finding out for yourself that it don't always work for you like they say it does. With the Gator blades I had to keep running over the same row and moving it 12 or more times before it disappeared.

I have the mulching kit installed on the 62" deck on my 2305. I have used it for two mowing seasons and would highly recommend it. During the grass growing season, I set my mower high to keep the weeds down. When the leaves come down, I drop the mower and run a little slower and it cuts the leaves up and I never rake anymore. If the leaves are large and heavy, I might have to go over them a second time. I try to mow when the leaves are dry since they mulch better then.

When multching, its very important that the grass or leaves are dry. Otherwise, you plug up the deck and create work........
