62\" Snowblower

Is $1500 a good price for a new 62" two stage snowblower?

Re: 62\" Snowblower

Sounds good to me. In December I paid $1400 for a 60". Steel prices have gone up since then.

That's what I paid for a unassembled unit. A JRW unit from Canada. No frills, but it really moves snow.

Re: 62\" Snowblower

For $1400, mine was a Buhler Farm King. Assembled, tested at the dealership on a similar tractor, then delivered to the back of my tractor (but they would not hook up the PTO shaft for "liability" reasons).

I got quotes and saw some of the internet dealers asking $1395 to $1695 plus shipping for the same model. Those prices are from November/December of 2003, so they are 7-8 months old.

Farm King is a Canadian brand. Two of the 3 closest dealers to my house sell this brand. One would deal the other had blowers on his lot until this spring /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif
