60inch deck question

Hey guys I don't have the book for my deck. I'm guessing the gearbox takes normal 80w90 gear oil?

If its for a gear box, I would be using 90 weight, so yeah. I believe you are correct on this.

It takes GL-5 gear oil and it is 80x90 weight. I had a recommendation on another site to use 80w145 stating that it would run cooler but JD recommends 80w90 so that is what I am using. It's not that expensive either.
