60" Deck on 430

Hi everyone first time poster here. I recently purchased a JD 430 with a 60" deck and a 54" front blade. I have ordered an operators manual from Deere but it with take a week or two to get it and need some help now so I can use the mower. Looked extensively on this site but could not find my question already answered. The question deals with the deck lift system. I have adjusted the screw on the back of the mower for the hydraulic cylinder to have full movement. Even with that the highest i can get the blades off the ground is 3-3/4". I did notice where the brackets bolt to the rear of the deck there were holes below them which I think would allow more lifting height. Any information on this would be great. Sorry I'm so long winded...

You are likely pretty close to the highest you can get those blades off the ground.

What height are you trying to get to?

Might try the lower holes, just to see.

A pic or two would help confirm or suggest more.

Trying to get to 4" I like my grass high also I can barley drive it up on my trailer because is drags. The reason I ask is the sticker on the deck gives height adjustment on the wheels for a cuttting height up to 7" and TractorData.com - information on all makes and models of tractors gives a cutting height 2"-7". Like I said my operators manual is on order but I wouldn't be surprised if this information would only be in the Deck manual.

Check that the tires are the correct size. Some people put smaller tires on to "look cool" and drop the frame down accordingly.

Ok i got it to 5" and I think that is max. I miss read the decal on the deck it only says 4".
