5ft. King Kutter Finishing Mower

OK, so here we go I have a 5ft finishing mower that I just got about 2 mo. ago. The belt broke after about 15 mins of use. I got a new belt from tractor supply and put it on, that lasted about two cuttings and the belt edges were just chewed up.
This time I ordered a kevler belt and now it is not working.
I greased it and checked the bearings and they seam OK?
any thoughts?

If it makes any diff. I have it behind an old Ford 8N.
