I am looking at a 5530 4WD with loader at a local Arkansas dealer. He is asking $27,000 and he is firm on the first price quoted and will not deal. After looking here I'm not so sure this is a good price. It is actually $400 more than the comparable New Holland N4 Workmaster that he also sells. what are your opinions on this deal?

I don't think that's unreasonable. I was a little under that two years ago.

Nov of 08' FEL, Bison 8' Back Blade, Boom pole for 3pt and 2 remotes and grill guard same ball park price. For that price - get the ML 266 loader and two remotes a mimimum and any future implements go heavy duty. I also pull a 3pt 3x16" ford 10-209 plow. It will handle a 10' Kodiak/Mahindra pull type mower with ease.

Mine was delivered in August 2011: $24,700 for a 5530 4X4, shuttle, R4 tires, FEL, QA bucket, QA pallet forks, grill guard, and 0.0% for 60 months.
I later added 120 gallons of Rim Guard. It handles a 10' Kodiak/Mahindra lift type rotary cutter with ease. Again, this price was from almost two years ago...
FWIW, this tractor is amazing.
