545d transmission issue

Parked my tractor 2 months ago with no issue. Went to use it and wouldn’t go in gear for 30 seconds. Both forward and reverse. While moving would loose power and stop moving for another 30 sometimes longer! Can hear a whine from tranny area.

Changed oil and tranny filter still the same?

Any ford tractor people have a clue to help? It’s an early 80s tractor

I learned on that tractor, my buddy has one now. My guess would be torque converter or a pump problem. There are others here that know a lot more about the mechanical workings of this beast. Hopefully they show up with some how to testing.
