I'm just a little agitated at Kubota for not putting the 540 pto marking at the proper rpm. All of the Grande L tractors (L3010, L3410, L3710, L4310 and 4610) and the L35 and maybe other models have the same style instrument panels and all of them have that little triangle marker for 540 pto speed at 2500 rpm. Why? They all don't reach the 540 pto speed at 2500 rpm, infact, none of them hit the 540 pto at 2500 rpm. Granted some of them are very close and some are 300 rpm off. Is it just a matter of saving a few pennies or something else?
I have an older M5030SU (6 cyl) series tractor and the hash mark is where the manual says it reaches the 540 pto speed. The other models of the same 30 series with different engines have the tachs marked to correspond with different 3 and 4 cylinder engines. Is it asking too much to have the 540 pto marker at the correct speed for a particular engine?
