I have a 5252 with about 400 hours on it and it is falling apart day by day. I have had problems with the mower deck, mufflers, Front spindles, transmission and power steering, hydraulic lines, electrical problems. This is not to mention the cosmetic problems like cracking plastic etc. Seemed like a good deal when I bought it but it's not holding up for the long haul.

Boy, I hate to hear that. I have a 5252 with 180 hours that has only had a couple of minor warranty fixes. I was just thinking the other day that it's been a pretty reliable machine.
Hope things improve with it or you can recover most of your money from it!
