I think this is a John Deere question more than a Belltec question so here goes:

Am trying to marry my 5203 up with a TM48 posthole digger. Specs call for 2 SCV. The John Deere boys here at home tell me the 5203 with FEL mounted won't handle but one SCV which I have already. The Belltec dealer I talked to said a splitter will work with the one SCV. The JD guys here are checking out, I believe, what they said was a Fassie brand splitter. They use it on the big rigs but did not know about the 5203.

Any of you fellas done what I am trying to do. Figured if anyone would know for sure, they would be on TBN.

Thanks for your help as always.

Yes, I know exactly what you need, and Fasse makes it, as well as V&M ,What you are looking for is also called a "diverter" or "multiplier"

Basically it takes the one remote, and "splits" it into two via a solenoid valve. There are also a couple of generic valve I can point you to if you want to plumb it yourself.

Doesn't Deere offer a 2nd rear SCV option for the 5000 "value" series?

Don't know for sure... and don't know how much it might cost or if the Fasse setup would be cheaper?

Your dealer should be able to check that option out.

They do offer a max of two rear SCVs, but not with a loader. With the loader installed the max is 1...

KennyD. Thanks much. That confirms what my dealer is telling me. He is familiar with the Fasse but not with the hookup with the 5203. I live in cotton country of West Texas but my place is 200 miles away in the Texas hill country. The guys out here don't fool with the little utility tractors that much and I am not able to use dealers in the hill country during the work week--those guys know the CUTs. Anyhow, I'll get it figured out --am too old to be drilling post holes with a rock bar. Thanks again.

No problem, let me know if I can help further.

can't you put a power beyond kit on the 5000 series? you could add that and a valve...or two.

I had another thought on this:

If you only need the extra remote for this implement, then you could attach a new 2-spool valve to it so you could reach it from the seat, and just run two hoses from the new valve to your remote. You would need a way to hold open your remote valve with a bunge cord, string, or homemade bracket so hydraulic flow will be constant to the new valve.
This would be a very simular to a 3PH log splitter set-up if you are familiar with them. And you could probably get the valve and hoses for +/- $200 or so...

The Belltec uses one circuit for lowering and raising the auger. The top link for the angle of the auger is hydraulic also which makes the splitter/spool whatever you call it a doable deal. One of the JD boys is to call me back about the Fasse--will see what the price is. Thanks.
