Tractor
Kubota 3130 GST 513 FEL
The 513 FEL on my 3130 will not lift the front tires of my tractor off the ground. Is this normal? I know I should have opted for the 723 but didn't and would just like to know if I have a problem or is this normal for the 513.

I have the same setup that you do. While I also wish I had invested in the 723 loader (I didn't realize the difference at the time), I have been impressed with what the 513 (and a little skill and patience) can do.

Mine will lift the front end off the ground no problem. What I have noticed is that the loader does not have the range to lift the front end when the bucket is curled. At first I thought the loader was too weak to lift the front, but I soon realized that the loader was just down as far as it could go. I dumped the bucked until the bottom was perpendicular to the ground, then it lifted the front end right off the ground.

If you don't already have one, and are trying to do digging, I would recommend getting a toothbar. It really improves the performance of any bucket's ability to dig and rip up the earth.

Ok, I think I tried what you suggested and it still didn't move. I am not unhappy with the loader I just am concerned I have a problem. I did put a tooth bar on it and really like the way it digs. You are saying yours would lift the front end with the toothbar on and the bucket dumped perpendicular to the ground, correct?

He's saying with the cutting edge of the bucket pointing straight into the ground and applying downpressure to the loader via the joystick the tractor should lift the front tires. If not possibly the relief is relieving to soon.

Figured out what was wrong. Loose quick connect. I should have checked that earlier. Anyway, plenty of downforce now, thanks for the reply's.

Sorry I didn't get to your question it time, but I'm glad you got it fixed. Thanks for picking up the slack, johnk.

Erwinrp is probably taking divots out of his driveway now with the newly found downforce.... It's great when everything is working properly! Keep us posted.

Funny post!

I had a similar situation when the tractor was new. With the HST in L, it was still so fresh that the tires wouldn't roll, you had to either be in 3rd, 2nd or N and it would pop it up slick as could be.

Histerical, I laughed out loud at that one, especially because once I got it fixed I was guilty of a little up, down, up, down. Very true though, I'm much happier when everything works as it should.
