today i went to my local 'bota dealer to get an oil filter, and i had good timing. A new M40 series 5040 with loader, R4 tires, and hydro shuttle w/ 8speed syncro (NO CAB) was just delivered earlier in the day. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif I was told the price is 28500 for everything on it. BUT- in another post someone was qouted "$24K as it was, Ag tires, MFWD, one set of remotes, and loader with quick attach." what could make the one i was looking at cost $4G's more?

By the way, the 5040 is a monster tractor. it was parked next to a l3400 which it made look like a toy /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif. Even more impressive is that next to the l3400 was a M6800 which the 5040 looked bigger than IMO.

I am guessing by the price it was 4wd?

I was given a price of 29,950 for a 5040 4wd w/FEL and they did not know when they would get one in so I could see it. Salesman said they had sold 2 of them sight unseen.
I got a much better deal on a M4900.
Good Luck
Dave

kubota's are probably worth more in central nj where i'm at than in OK due to a higher demand in the North East
