Thanks Al.

When is the first scheduled change of the hydro fluid?

Transmission filter (HST) is changed at 50 , 200,400 hrs under the left foot sitting on tractor.

Hydraulic filter is changed at 400 hrs under the right foot.

The Manual says to blow the filter with under 30 psi from the inside. I am not in a dusty area so I will just replace it as needed.

Al is pretty dang spot on. If you guys need, you can now order manuals online @ Kubota Tractor Corporation. You no longer need to go to your dealer for these if you choose not to, of course it's always easy to come here & ask.

As far as your tractor having only 112hours on it: do you know if the previous owner/dealer you purchased from did the 50 hour service or not? Easy way to tell is that the original filters will be painted over from the factory w/ Kubota grey. Otherwise they will be white for engine and trans should be either orange or yellow hyd will be white if they have been changed before. I ask because if they have been changed then you should be good until about 200-250 hours on the meter before you change again. Also if they have been changed once already do you know how long ago? If it was last year or longer then go ahead and do a 50hr service w/ trans filter also. Longer than a year since last service then definately check your trans/hyd fluid clarity. If it's hard to see on the stick then it's fine. Easily seen on the stick & starting to look amber or worse, brown change it.

Depending on your winter wearher (im not familiar with Mississippi southern winters) you may consider Kubota's 10W-30 engine oil But 15W40 is a good year round oil in most all places. Just change the 10-30 out for 15w40 come spring.

Good point. Never assume that the other guy did the service that was needed.

Neither the HST or hydraulic filter have been changed (still gray). I will go ahead and change both. The engine oil filter has been changed and the engine oil looks good. When I do change the engine oil, which

probably will be soon anyway, I think the 15W40 will probably do fine for me year round. Mississippi winters are fairly mild relatively speaking. I will check the trans/hyd fluid asap and change if necessary and may

change before too much longer regardless of how it looks just to be safe. It surprises me a little that a guy that would take such good care of a tractor (6yrs old and looks almost brand new) wouldn't change a

simple thing like a HST filter.

I did my 50 hour service on my Kubota BX2370 and it seemed like a good thing to do but after I had changed all of the fluids, they all looked brand new pretty much, at first I thought that it was a waste to do that but not any more. If your kubota has an HST transmission make sure that if it has a transmission strainer, to check and clean it as well.
