Wow, if that's their estimate go for it. But I suspect whomever oversees the invoices for service might have a thing or two to say about it.
I did my own 50hr service last year for about what dkvince estimated, somewhere between $170-180. I would definitely recommend any new owner to do their own service if they are even remotely mechanically inclined and have decent work space this time of year to operate in. It was a piece of cake and a good learning experience. But if you can get it done for $100 and don't have a warm dry space to work in then maybe............................it's not such a bad way to go either.
