1*I've changed the Tranny fluid in my BX 23 4 times with out removing the BH or a rear wheel.
2*I use a funnel that has a steel flex spout about 16 inches long.Works great.
Funnels with plastic tubing for spouts don't work near as well as steel spouted ones because the plastic is like trying to stand a rope on end.

when I last read this thread I thought we were talking about the 2310 and NOT a BX23.

OK I changed it : Can I post it now Can I ?

Does 2* & 3* apply only to orange or does it apply just to red or is it applicable to both?
As to 1* If not having to remove the back wheel to remove the screen on the GC2310 works just as it does on a BX23 wouldn't that save the GC 2310 owner the bother of needlesly taking off the rear wheel?;)

Now do you get it or are you still lost in the dark?

The sight glass for the trans. fluid level is located on the back of the trans. the only way you can see it is to remove the hoe.
I guess Massey Ferguson owners are not so petty that a simple thing like removal of a wheel on a vehicle with built in jacks is a big deal.

I think your lost in the dark. Nobody reading this thread cares about what needs to be done to service a BX. Oh wait wait you do. Why don't you go to the Kubota board and find some BX owners to tell how they are doing it all wrong.

Performing good service isn't just about how fast and convienent it is to do. Some people out there doing it themselves may just want to learn about their machine a little. Sometimes you find problems by doing something that your not supposed to do. Like taking a wheel off that didn't need to come off.

I agree with what Ray2310 says. For the past two years, I have read the postings of LBrown 59 on the Massey board and have bite my tongue. He is always cutting on the 2310, while telling us about the BX. If I wanted to know about the BX, I would go to the Kubota board.

Also, the implements, including the backhoe and MMM are extremely easy to remove from the 2310 and I have mine removed the majority of the time, as my 2310 is primarily used for mowing. I have almost 400 hours on mine now and have changed the hydro fluid several times. Each time I take that rear wheel off and clean the small "washable" filter. My tires are loaded with alcohol, but I find them very easy to take off.

In most of LBrown posts, one underlying theme always stands out to me and that is that he prides himself on always doing things the easy and lazy way.

The dealership told me today that removing the BH makes changing the oils easier and faster. The filler hole and sight glass are somewhere behind the BH. I personally would rather see the filler hole and pour my nice clean oil in my tractor.... not ON my tractor and on the ground.

Do you think the only diff between Kubota and MF is the color:rolleyes: Now do you get it or you just trolling?

I told you that the hoe and the left tire need to come off to service the trans. See page 1. Does anyone read these posts or am I typing to myself?
