Tires 4WD tire matching, AG tires, etc...

My Yanmar is a 187D. The manual lists several AG options for the front and back tires, but does not indicate which are paired together. Also it is not clear to me what the tire numbers mean. They are not identified like auto tires. Also I have been unable to locate rims and a set of matching AG tires. I'd be glad to swap with someone who wants Turfs.

Any way you can check your current turf tires and try to determine a close ratio.. and then extrapolate that info over to the ag tire ref's in the manual. I realize this won't give you perfect rolling circumference.. though you could do a couple crude tests on that as well with a few feet of pavement.. some chalk and various measuring devices.. again.. not 100% accurate.. but probably closer than a 'horseshe rules'.

Also keep in mind that the ag tires will most likely need different rims.

All you need to know is the outside diameter of the tires to find out if you can switch out tires for mix and match. I have these two types on my Cub Cadet with no driveline gear wrap up. I have industrials on the front with turfs on the rear.

If you set your tires to the proper pressure and measure the circumference, then all you need to do is maintain the ratio. If you find tires that are close in the ratio, you may be able to match them up with pressure adjustment. The stock car boys call this stagger. It's how they adjust the outer and inner tires to suit the track they are on. Believe it or not they can get 6 or 7 inches or difference just with the pressure adjustment. Ag tires may not give you that much, but 3 or 4 inches should be attainable, for a total change of up to 8" front to back.
