looking at a 2012 4720. i believe it is tier 4 interim. what does this mean exactly, is there a DPF or DEF?

dealer says 58 hp, but i've seen 66 advertised.

35k for a cabbed machine with 400 cx loader, hydro, 505 hours and 2 rear remotes. r4 tires.

i really dont want DPF regens or DEF.

i'm comparing this against a new mahindra 2555 HST. almost same price, specs. mahindra is a bit wider, deere has 10 hp more.

I have had a couple of the 4720 s nice tractor has 66 hp a 2012 is not a teir 4 so has no emission stuff you can move the tires around and make the foot print wider add some fluid to the tires on wide footprint very stable machine

If it looks good cosmetically and is in good shape mechanically that is a good buy. The horse power for 2008 and earlier was 58, the 2009 models and later were increased to 66. I have been very satisfied with my 4520 for the last 6 years and is the same with 60 hp.

Dealer may be referring to the PTO HP. As I recall the newer 4720 Nebraska tested at 58. I bought a 2013 cabbed 4720 w/400cx last summer. Similar hrs. Based upon the searching I did when I bought mine 35k would be a good price if it has been maintained. I paid more.

At 400 hrs a trans oil/filter change was due as well as engine oil/filter. Front axle is at 600 hrs so that is coming up. It is not difficult to do yourself but it will cost you. May be worth negotiating that in on a deal.
