4720 attachments ?

Those of you with a 4720 can you tell me what is the widest mower (rotary) that can be used. I have approx 12acres and want to keep mowing time to a minimum. Thanks

It is rated for as large as a MX-8 - 8' mower. Conditions will dictate a lot of it. I ran a MX-6 behind my 4720 and unless it is really really thick - you won't have to slow down.

I would think that you would have no problem with a MX-10 pull type cutter. With that tractor, the weight of the cutter on the 3PH, not the required HP, will be your limiting factor.

Maybe your dealer has one you can demo. 10' is a big mower. The MX-10 is not a flex mower. So, you do have to think about scalping. So, depending on conditions a smaller mower might be better.

This is a good time to point out that well prepared fields that are smooth and cleared of all debris can be cut at a faster clip (no pun intended). Likewise if the field is smooth then the chance to make use of the MX10 is viable.
