4709 bonnet

Anyone know how to get the bonnet up on a 4709 .The key is just turning in the mechanism .Any advice welcome

It’s the hood
There’s a release at the front that you fit an Allen key in
Turn counter clockwise to release
The Allen key is just turning

Sorry, did not know what that was. Cannot help you. My MF2660 has a heavy 2-finger handle that you pull outward to unlatch the hood. Ove the years I've had nuisance troubles with the hood popping open when I hit a ditch or bump. Eventually made 2 or 3 mods to the latch mechanism to make it more reliable.
Having to use an Allen wrench to open the hood seems to me like a pain in the butt. Once I got it open I would come up with some sort of my own latch that is reliable. Good luck. (Got any pictures?)

From what I've seen that key is inserted all the way in, & you simply push down on it, & it pops the bonnet ( hood ) There is no need to turn it. & welcome to Tractor By Net.
