I thought I saw a thread awhile back with a cable type setup to change the angle of the top of the discharge chute, (distance snow is thrown away from tractor---not the left/right angle)----but I have searched with every term I can think of and can't find it.

Can anyone steer me in the right direction?

Thanks
Dan

Just a thought, but--

With proper leverage, would a fellow not be able to use a car parking brake cable? in a push-pull manner like used on the walk behind blowers?

Have toyed with this idea and might just try it myself except that in my case snow placement is not critical I just 'blow wide open'.

I have the factory kit that was over a hundred bucks. When I put it together I found that I could have made a couple of brackets and bought a tow truck pto cable for less then half of what I paid..

Pretty well what I thought of doing(see above post).

But then how does it work? do the job?

Piloon,

Search "Chute Deflector" and you will get all the information you need....lots of variations of electric and hydraulic deflectors. Dyer, retired

Yep, John Deere sells a kit specific to your tractor its called a chute deflector kit I have it on my front mounted 47" snow blower and also had it on my previous one. It cost about $125 dollars. but well worth it. Hope this helps.
