4600 won't start?

I bought my 4600 used a couple of years ago and the original owner told me sometime when it won't start you have to crack an injector line. I ran it for months and one day it would not start, crack injector line and she started. Over the past couple of years it has happened off and on and sometimes I would have to crack a couple of lines. It might happen the day after using it or maybe a month with no rhyme or reason. Today cracking the lines don't work. No fuel to the injectors. I checked all the rubber lines and fuel flows through them. The system is supposed to be self bleeding? Any ideas what the problem may be? Mitch

Not that this is your solution but it resolved my startup problem. Others have had the same problem.

I am getting plenty of fuel to the pump.

If you are getting a good flow of fuel to the injection pump and no fuel to the injectors, it has to be either a bad injection pump or the fuel shut-off solenoid is not engaging. Do you hear the solenoid engage when you turn on the key? If not , then check for voltage to the solenoid. You could have a broken wire, blown fuse, or a bad relay. The solenoid is clicking but may not be fully engaging. I will try trouble shooting it tomorrow and hope it is the thermister. I thought injector pumps either worked or not? Or they get weak over time and not supply enough fuel pressure?
