rented a 4410 to check it out before buying. using the brushhog, the PTO bogs down badly (slows to a stop).
when you raise the brushhog and remove the load, the
shaft starts to spin up to normal speed. there is no obstruction in the blades-all move freely. anyone know
where the HYD res is?? maybe it's low??? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I have a 4410 and used it yesterday in the rain on wet field grass with standing water in some spots. Yes, sometimes when the tractor sinks in and you burry the blades it will slow down or stop which is what it shoud do to prevent damage to your PTO shaft and tractor. You need to raise it up a little, or go slower in some areas. You may need to do more than one pass depending upon what you are cutting. Give us more details and we'll give you more feed back. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

What type of brushhog are you using? When the PTO bogs down, does the tractor stall? Or do the blades stop turning while the PTO drive into the mower keeps turning? If the latter, the mower may have a slip clutch that is not set tight enough. As the previous poster indicated, a more complete description of the symptoms would help us help you.
