4310 tilt stearing wheel

my tilt stearing wheel has gotten all cratchity.

has anyone else had this problem and how was it solved?

What do you mean by cratchity? How long have you had your machine?

Any idea what happened to the other site?

it sticks and is difficult to adjust

My 4710 had a real sticky tilt when i first got it. I had the dealer lube it when it was in for service, and now its perfect. I would think pulling a cover off and spraying lube in there would fix it.

Hi

My 4310 had the tilt steering stuck and I sprayed it with WD40 and it has been fine ever since.

My 4310 was like that and eventually got stuck in the down position. I took it in and there was a service bulletin about this problem. They fixed it and it has been fine for about 70 hours. It stuck at 40.

My 4410 had that problem from the get go. There was a service advisory on this. They put new parts in it and the tilt works OK now but there is still a lot of play in the steering wheel itself.

i got the parts under warranty and installed them myself

the tilt mechanism has to be the chintziest thing ive seen in a long time, fragile dicast metal

i don't pull myself up by the wheel anymore

it really is delicate, the service manager said that they have replaced hundreds of them
