4310 fuel tank: How many gallons?

Stupid question of the day here.

How many gallons of fuel does the 4310 hold? I bought it a few months ago and haven't really used it much but I have added a few gallons here and there. Never enough to let it get under half a tank really.

Anyway tractordata shows it has a 10 gallon fuel tank but I'm thinking it only has 5 gallons. The fuel gauge was at 1/2 and I added about 2 1/2 gallons now its showing full....just trying to figure it out.

It's a 10 gallon tank...and my 4400's fuel gage does the same thing...seems to only read the upper section of the tank.

I put 5 gal in when the needle does not move anymore. The fuel guages are known to be innacurate. Design flaw in my opinion.

Now I'll either never run out of fuel or do it all the time.
