Kent, nice property

Do you go sideways at all? Turn around on the flats?

Very little, and only on the gentlest slopes. In float position, it will try to crab going sideways. Similarly, I can't push the mower up much of the slopes without spinning.

I typically climb the hill, turn around on the gentler slopes at the top, and mow going straight down.

Here's a pic of where my PT earns its keep, an updated Google Earth pic from November, 2013.

King of the mountain... I simply could not do what I'm doing on these steep hillsides without it.

This will work in lieu of pin brakes...

This gives a better sense of the slopes:

And the hillside to the left gives an idea of the hillside's original condition...

The area to the left has been freshly sown in fescue and wildlife habitat (mix of wildflowers and food plot). My goal is to get these hillsides where I only need them to mow them once a year, after a killing frost, to spread the wildflower seeds and prepare for the next year....

It's not all steep hillsides, just most of it:

I have some steep land much the same , I just let the maple leaves lay on it. Keeps all growth to Zero!

Pretty, any view?

Limited. In the winter, when the leaves are off the trees, you can see Mt. LeConte in the Smokies, in addition to the surrounding hilltops. With leaves on the trees on the surrounding hilltops, you can't...

Most of these trees are second-growth scrub. Mostly redbud, hackberry and black locust. The fields had grown up in pine and redbuds, 2"'-4" in diameter, full of sawbriers, blackberry brambles, and honeysuckle vines. None of them were of any real value, and not big enough to suppress the undergrowth...
