425 Problem

Update:
Ordered new engine which was delivered last Wednesday. Installed and running like it should.
Also installed new hour meter so should be ready for years of work.

Is it the exact same engine as you had?

you know, with only a slight modification, you could have fit a liquid cooled engine in there.

1. weld an extension on the engine enclosure so it looks like an outhouse
2. move the gas tank to a trailer that you tow behind
3. pull the V8 out of your dodge....

I don't know why you would have kept the same engine...

Yes, called Terry and he said I should stick with the same engine as a larger one would be hard on the pumps.
Now I'm checking the large pump and may need to replace it.

Good. Be sure and save the old engine for parts. You never know when some weird piece like a bracket or cover may break.

Now there's a good idea! You never know when your way out in the woods and need to get out of the sun.
