Got a 4230 with a front loader. Worked all day Friday hauling dirt in the loader with no issues. On Saturday, the U-shaped hose between the hydraulic pump and cooler blew out. We just cut the end off, put it back on, and topped of the fluid. Ran the rest of the day with no problems.
Yesterday, my dad was using it to scoop up some grass. He backed up some and changed gear to go back forward and all the hydraulics quit working - front loader, three point hitch, steering and transmission. There was no leakage from anywhere and no out-of-the-ordinary sounds.
The pump turns freely and makes a gulp-like sound as if the shaft is still in tact. There's just no fluid going to or from the pump. With the tractor running, there just doesn't appear to be any pressure in the system.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
