4200 with a 420 loader with front bucket drop. see previous post. No answers to post but my research of this problem seems to indicate this failure of the bucket cylinder seals.

Evidently this has been a problem on these 420 and 430 loaders. Some posts have suggested that deere has replaced these cylinders with an improved version . My cylinders failed after only 40 hours, however my tractor is over 2 years old so no warranty. Anyone have any information on this problem?

I just had to have my Kubota bucket cylinder rebuilt. The end cap had a crack in it and there was no doubt where the fluid was coming from. The cap cost about seventy dollars and the seal kit was around 120.00 . With labor 241.00. FEL was six months out of warranty.
