Anyone know what size the QDs on a 4200's 3rd SCV are?

And is there a pictorial guide somewhere on the internet of all the different kinds?

Thanks!

Pretty sure they are 3/8" Pioneer's (Parker) 4000 Series Poppet style QD's.

I didn't realize the lettering was on the QDs.... 60 Series. Doesn't give a size though.

The 3/8" male end I had in the parts pins didn't fit. That one said 3/8" but didn't say what kind it is. Though it looks like the pictures for 60 series. Is it possible the QDs are 1/4" 60 Series?

Do you use teflon tape or pipe dope when screwing the connecters to the hose?

Never use teflon tape on your hydraulic system, little bits of it can get into the system and make a mess. Use a PTFE pipe dope rated for hydraulic use.

I use Loctite #565 or Permatex #80632

Parker 60 series

is the nipple serviceable? a couple of mine seep when i disconnect the loader, and i presume there is some sort of o-rings in there that must not be allowing it to seal properly.

Thanks Kenny!

defed, they all leak a little when you disconnect them. I think thats what the "new" flush mount ones are all about... eliminating the spillage.

right, there will be some leakage when you 1st disconnect, but 2 of my 4 will drip the whole time it's disconnected.

Ah. My 3rd SCV did that when I bought the tractor. I just replaced them. Actually, maybe thats why I have 60 series instead of 4000 series.... Gonna have to look at the spare parts bin again.

So which is better for a tractor living outside: brass or steel?

did you ever get your QDs? i got to looking at mine the other day, they are labeled: H3-63-T8 ...which is parker 60, 3/8" body and some funky 3/4 - 16 threads (ORB).

i can find lots of info on them, but don't see many places selling parker fittings...H3-63 seems easier to find, but not the T8 version. same w/ safeway. H3-63 = S101-3, while H3-63-T8 = S101-3-8....can find the non-ORB version easily, not so much for the ORB.

I've had the QDs on there from almost the beginning. They came with a bunch of parts I got for cheap on eBay. Must be the funky threads that threw me cause I have nothing I can screw into the ones I replaced.
