4120 HST

Has anybody bought a 4120 lately? What do you use it for? How do you like it? How's it set up? What'd you pay?

Chip, I took delivery of mine in November '05. 4120 e-hydro, 4 in 1 bucket, 400x loader,448 hoe, canopy, work lights, I-Match. I picked up a well used 6 foot rotary cutter this spring.
I've been digging drain lines, pulling stumps, grading, plowing snow,
brush hogging, moving logs, dug a small pond, moving manure, digging fence posts....
I still want to add a landscape rake and a back blade, and maybe a 3 point blower. The machine has been a pleasure to use, and has yet to grumble from anything I've thrown at it.

I had some issues with hoses on the 4 in 1, which I fixed myself, and some hose fittings on the hoe needed to be tightened. In addition, I needed to torque the bolts on the sub assembly for the hoe. No other problems to date.
Paid < $30k. I'd buy another in a heartbeat,, only this time with a 400cx loader. I wasn't aware of it at the time.

I took delivery of my 4120 in December 2005. E-hydro, loaded R-4 tires, 400CX loader with 72" HD bucket and replacable cutting edge, 448 backhoe, front & rear work lights, 84" rear finish mower, all for around $33K.

It hasn't gotten much use yet. I pushed out a few pine trees and restacked some partially burned trees to be burned again. Every time I get on it I ask myself why don't I use it more often. It's a great machine so far, very comfortable for my 6"5" frame. I would recommend it to anyone looking for that size machine.

I have the 4120, E-hydro, turf tires, 400CX loader with 72" bucket + forks, Kelly backhoe, MMM and box. Have 53 hours now without much trouble. Love the thing! Has tons of power. I have dug a bunch of stumps, built a couple of roads, dug some deep driveways, mowed a bunch, hauled and loaded heavy logs and cleared brush. Best tractor I have ever run.
