The third lever on drivers right side that controls the back hydralics. Has to be pulled or pushed manually and will not stay on. Does anyone have an idea about how to hold it in position when running a backhoe with it.

If you go with a Mahindra (Bradco) hoe it will not use the remote. Instead it will be plumbed with another set of remotes that have no valve and run full pressure/flow when the hoe is hooked up. It is designed so that the 3-point hydraulics are disabled when the hoe is connected.

Otherwise, I guess you need a bungee cord.
