4110 Hyd Canister Leaking

I changed the hydraulic fluid and filters today and discovered the canister O ring was broken from the last changed performed by a dealer. Due to leaks, I will need to redo and replace the canister O ring. If I open the canister to replace the O ring, will I loose all the fluid or just what is in the canister?

You will lose all of the fluid, unless you can plug the line on the other end of the canister some how.
