I'm about to order/buy a 4110 with the 410 FEL (or 210CX?) and 60" MMM. I've been seeing stuff about "converting" the FEL to be able to use skid steer attachments, which I guess are cheaper and/or more plentiful. I'm wondering if it is a good idea to not get a JD bucket with the 410, and get one of these "convertors" and use brand-x attachments (including a brand-x FEL bucket). For example, I have an immediate need for pallet forks and possibly a grapple. Is this a good way to go?

Thanks,
Ira

IMHO, stay with the Deere quick attach system. You can buy as many attachments built for your loader as you can skid steer attachments. Most skid steer attachments are going to be too big for that tractor and loader anyways...

again, just MHO

good luck with your new tractor! you will love it

I agree, stay with the JD system. The other will add weight and move the attaching point out further, reducing you total lift capacity.

If you are handy with a welder, you can make anything you need to easily fit the JD setup. I have made a forklift setup and a FEL mounted snowplow for mine.
