400cx Broken Piston Rod

32 years of back dragging here and never broke anything. In fact I've never heard of it being a problem.

Really..... Me as well. I couldn't begin to guess how much abuse I've given my loader over the years, back dragging being one method. After over 3000 hrs. I've done nothing more than blow a hydraulic hose on the loader assembly. Mine is a KMW ML112 made in USA.

If you are just back dragging no problem. It’s when you have the bucket dumped quite a bit and go forward and hit something that bad things happen.
