So often I start and finish a project and forget to document it for you all. I did catch a few pictures and will post the last one tomorrow.

This area is at the corner of the paved road to my parents house, owned by a neighbor. This area hasn't been cleaned totally in over 40 years; not in anyones memory. one area had been a garden in the early 70's.
I was wanting to hit the blackberries and ask if he would mind....
So I mowed until i hit the trees, then drug them out for the firewood. Most of the trees were willows that had fallen over and re-rooted. such fun. I hacked and dug and pulled until I had a big pile that we torched this weekend; some more cleanup and mostly done. The owner is going to bring in some fill to fill the ditch and prevent the marsh effect that happens there. we found tires and garbage and all sorts of good stuff.
anyway, the end result picture tomorrow

Wow!

Any time you get bored. I have 2-4 acres of alder to remove to recover some pasture and a nice little area at the back of my property.

Great job.

In this part of the country, the loss of that bramble didn't even register on the blackberry production scale. One little seedling will swallow a car is a year or two.:(

Nice work! I have to agree those blackberries will grow back pretty easy and fast. Especially out here in the Pacific Northwest rainforest. Some of those stems can get pretty big. It is a lot of fun to drive through them with the Boxblade rippers down and roll up big bundles of blackberries.
Just keep after the new shoots and that will be a nice addition to the field.

I don't eat much blackberries much anymore; had too much blackberry jelly growing up. As said by the others blackberries are a weed here; and I have a fence line at my in-laws house that is buried by them. If i were to clean them out the animals would escape for the fence is been pulled down.
I heard that some people eat dandelion leaves; and I don't think about them as I mow em either....
