I've got a 6x12, 4 wheel trailer. I have always had my doubts about the way it pulls. I have owned it for 6 years.

I was getting ready for a 300 mile trip tomorrow and I thought why don't I put a straight edge along the wheels and found that the rear axle is turned is that it is turned leaving a 3/16" gap at the front of one side and the other side has the same gap on the back.

I'm thinking that I might jack it up, loosen the clamps that hold the axles to the springs and nudge it them square.

The trailer was bought new and has pulled, I think a bit a skew. It is in good shape as is the running gear, the tires are not worn or have feathering of the tread.

Does having the axles this much out of alignment make it noticeable?

Doing what you are planning is fine but it will only stay in alignment if once you get I y'all strait you then load the trailer to max capacity with it sitting on the tires then after rechecking the alignment torquing everything to specs. Reason being is as the trailer is loaded the springs flatten loosening everything.
